Day Eleven: Kigurumi

Day Eleven: Friday
Eleventh Challenge: Wearing Kigurumis.

(Will be fairly short, as I have a party to attend to.)

"This is ridiculous." Ari huffed, crossing her arms. "Matt, I will not wear something like that, even if you paid or begged me! That is just childish and utterly, bloody well..." she stopped upon seeing Matt pull a pout, crossing his arms and giving her a look.

"Come on love, I did the cosplay with you a few weeks ago - why can't we do something like this? It's not as if we're going to do this in public or something." she kept a stoic face on, lifting a brow at his reasoning. He was right, though, about the first part...she grit her teeth as he pulled the guilt card on her. She couldn't really resist him, especially with such a childish yet adorable look on his fair face.

"We are not going outside in those...those..." she struggled to find a word for the outfit. "...animal jumpers." Matt snorted, amused.

"Kigurumi, love. And they're not animal jumpers! They're like cosplay, only you have to dress like animals in these things," he explained cheerfully, lifting up the two articles of clothing in his hands. One was a soft pink, and the other was a dark blue. "We're not going out. I just want to see how you look in these kinds of things."

"What if I don't?" she grumbled.

"Well, I can go back to the mall and tell on you for unknowingly stealing those animal ears?" she spluttered some words and eventually glared, pouting.

"Gah - fine - give me the damn thing!"

He smiled innocently and kissed her cheek.

"Love you."

She scowled. "You better."

* * * * *

"Babe, you're so adorable!" Ari hissed and blushed at the same time, refusing to look at Matt, who was wearing a dark blue puppy kigurumi. Ari had on a pink kitten one.

"Shut. Up."

"Now for blackmail~"

"Y-You bastard! You never said anything - MATT, GET BACK HERE, DAMMIT!"

Day Ten: Animal Ears

Day Ten: Thursday
Tenth Challenge: Wearing Animal Ears.

Author's Note: It took me a while to think of a reason on why they had to wear it.
At least, until I remembered an event that happened in school around November.
It might be pretty short, but I hope it has just as much sweetness as the others. :)

“Matt, look!” Ari pointed excitedly, tugging at her boyfriend’s arm. “A photo booth that actually doesn’t have people lining up for it – can we go, please?” the older man grinned and nodded, finding her enthusiasm adorably contagious. She brought him there (though dragged would have been a better term for it) and he found himself looking at the widely-decorated booth, covered in pink and having a poster of two young girls posing pasted on the side. A curtain (also pink) separated the inside of the both from the outside.

“Come on, before anyone else gets here…”

The two were soon inside the somewhat cramped booth, and she frowned. “It looked much bigger from the outside…” Ari’s green eyes scanned the screen and buttons, only to be filled with confusion. “Er…Matt, can you read Japanese?”

“A lady staying in Japan with no knowledge of the language…” chortled Matt, and she merely gave him a glower. “Alright, calm down. All it says is to press that red button when we’re ready. There are ten seconds in between each photo taken. Four pictures will be taken. There are props,” her eyes glanced down at the box in front of them “for us to wear if we want.”

“We better decide now which props we’ll wear,” she said to herself, bending down and inspecting the contents of the pink box. Hats, large glasses, a fake mustache…and then she stumbled across a pair of cutesy looking accessories. She quickly swiped and hid them in her coat, not wanting Matt to find out what she took.

She had no intention of stealing them, though.

The Briton looked at her and she smiled innocently, pressing the red button and wrapping her arms around him. “Smile for the camera,” she urged, and Matt could only smirk, pressing his lips against hers and feeling her cheeks heat up – the photo was taken and she pulled away, redder than ever. “I – I wasn’t expecting that!”

“Hush,” he chuckled and swept her into his arms. Matt winked and she smiled, the camera snapping the picture. Out of the blue, she quickly pulled out the pair of animal ears she hid and slid them onto his head, sliding a pair of kitten ones onto herself next. Matt was momentarily taken back at the feel of lion ears on him and was about to speak, but she put a finger on his lips and kissed him just like he kissed her –

And the picture was taken.

“You sure do take me by surprise,” he said once he pulled away. She laughed, but stopped in confusion at his mischievous look.

“Matt, what - !”

There were no words as the man pounced on her with the ears on.

The picture was taken.

When the twosome stumbled out, red and panting, the next couple stared at them, the man looking affronted and the woman shell-shocked. Ari attempted to apologize and convince them that they didn’t do what they thought they did, but Matt could only laugh and whisk her away with two copies of their photos.

The next couple could only notice the absence of a pair of kitten ears and lion ears…

Ari Babbles: Couples

Hello and welcome to Ari's Babbles, Midnight Edition. This is when I, Ari, decide that there is something in my mind that I need to let off and post here, no matter how crazy, personal, or serious it is. Tonight's discussion is basic and obvious from the title: couples. Particularly on my OTPs. Also, why do they call it One True Pairing when I have a ton of them...it's gotta be One Trillion Pairings instead because what the hell, I ship a lot of characters and the number of ships is much more than the human mind can comprehend.

Note: These two pairings to be discussed are seen through my own point of view only. It's not set. It's only "canon" and never will be in the Death Note realm sob in my own writings, in my own plots.

Also, in this there will be touches of intimacy. Please be reminded that I do not encourage pre-matrial intimacy okay hugging and kissing are alright but save the sanctity of marriage and such.

Ready? Let's go.

Day Nine: Friends

Day Nine: Wednesday
Ninth Challenge: Hanging Out With Friends.

Matt shifted in his chair comfortably, silently listening as Touta Matsuda, Samuel Peters, and his girlfriend bickered over work troubles. All four of them. In a booth. Having dinner in the heart of Tokyo - at least, near the heart of it. He was entirely unsure of coming to dinner with the trio, but she urged him to go, not wanting to leave him back home. Finally, he agreed. Matsuda was a fairly alright man, but it was Peters he was wary about. There was something about the brunette man he couldn't trust. Perhaps it was because he was American? But then again, there was more to dislike aside from national and cultural differences.

His girlfriend was half-German, for crying out loud.

"Oh, screw this. I'm ordering." Ari rolled her eyes and snuggled up next to Matt, who smiled in response and wrapped an arm around her protectively. Touta smiled at the sight, and Peters merely glanced at his phone, replying to a text that was most likely from his own brutal, yet enticing Romanian girlfriend. "You should talk to them," she whispered in his ear, earning a laugh from him.

"When the time is right," he murmured back. "I will. And go order something, love. All this discussion might make you lose your pretty voice." she opened her mouth to speak, but he said firmly, "And no alcohol." This made her pout, yet she nodded with a disgruntled sigh.

"Fine, fine. But excuse me, I need to go to the ladies' room. My make up might be running." he pulled her in for a kiss before she left, making her flush and glare (playfully, at least) before standing and going to the desired destination. Matt watched her walk off with a slight smile before looking back at the two men, one Japanese and one American. It was practically a table of nationality.

Here, you had an English hitman.

An English-German alcoholic detective.

An American ex-playboy.

And the Japanese superior.

Matt cleared his throat.

"So, hooked up with A, did you?" Peters started. He wasn't texting anymore, but was giving Matt a small smirk. "How long have you two been together?"

"A long time," he replied. "So long I can't even remember when we met. She's my life now." his voice drifted off and he smiled once more, taking Peters by surprise. "And you're with Jinx, right? How long have you two been together?"

"Also for a while. Probably as long as you and A." Peters peeked around before lowering his voice and asking, "Is she really that brutal? Not that I'm complaining. I like a good challenge."

He cocked a brow. "That's just Jinx being Jinx." he leaned back. "You'll get used to it in the mean time." Matt's blue eyes went over to Touta, who offered him a warm and polite smile of his own.

"You seem to be very serious with her. Do you...?" Touta didn't finish his sentence, but the two men knew what he implied. Matt looked up to check if Ari was there, and upon seeing she wasn't, answered.

"When the time is right."

"But what if you two, you know..." Peters help up two fingers and slowly made them into a V-position, in other words, separated them. Matt sighed and closed his eyes.

"If it's for the best, then I'll leave it be. I came back to her, though, and I'm guessing you've heard quotes about loved ones going away. If they come back, they're the one. Ari seems fully content with me, though, and –” he blushed, making the American snicker and the Japanese even giving a chuckle, “– she wants no one else."

"Well that settles it."

"I'll say. But I don't want to scare her off. I'll give it time. Maybe when she's twenty-three or twenty-four and we're still together..." he mused. Touta, on the other hand, had ventured off into his own thoughts. He could remember Matt fiercely demanding why Ari had come home one night, injured and shaken, but alright. He could remember the Brit's cold gaze and harsh tone, and the slam of the door.

He remembered hearing the arguing start almost immediately and rushed away, not wanting to hear any more of that.

Peters broke his train of thought.

"A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do."

The conversation stopped when Ari came back, and Matt pulled his arms protectively around her in a warm, tight embrace. She was surprised but pleased nonetheless, and the rest of the night was something he definitely didn't expect.

Her friends were alright, after all.

Day Eight: Shopping

Day Eight: Thursday
Eighth Challenge: Shopping

Matt’s POV

“How does this look?” I look up, setting the magazine down on the black leather couch and look at her. Immediately, a blush crawls up my neck and I blink, hastily looking at her face instead and focusing on her bashful and mildly unsure face. Unsurprisingly, I can’t bring myself to speak, utterly rendered speechless by how beautiful she looked. “S-Should I change?”

“No,” I reply hastily. “No. I like this one. I – I think you should buy it wait no, undress and give me the clothes and I’ll pay for it.” All of this exited my mouth in one breath, because of how flustered I was at her appearance. She blinked yet smiled, nodding as if understanding what I just said and slid back into the dressing room. I could hear her unzip the dress and I groaned softly, hiding my face.

I must have a fever.

She has never made me this flustered. Ever.

In fact, she was the one who blushed more; even at slight contact that she felt was intimate. Now, however, it was like she was laying her cards down without knowing what it could do to me. Jesus Christ, she was perfection to my eyes and that dress was only icing on the cake.

A very delicious cake.

She stepped out, handing over the dark blue polka-dotted dress with the somewhat matching floral purse. I ignored the price as I paid and could only pay attention to that image in my mind, and as we left the shop, her green eyes spotted yet another.

Not that I minded spending my cash on her.

Not that I minded carrying three bags of clothes (that I offered to carry).

The Lord must be challenging me. Who knows what clothes she would have to model in front of me with that adorable face of hers? As she dragged me to the next shop, I prayed to my lucky stars that if anything, we would be there for only a short time. Ari apologized for doing so much shopping, but only a disoriented “take your time” left my lips.

* * * * *

It wasn’t so bad.

It wasn’t like there were lingerie plastered on the walls or tight cat-suits for God knows why. It was like your regular girly shop. Pastel-colored with blouses and skirts everywhere, along with a small corner reserved for accessories. This was slightly smaller than the last shop, but in terms of comfort, offered much more. As Ari headed off to the dressing room, I sat down, took a nearby leaflet, and fanned myself, trying to calm down.

A female clerk looked at me and smiled. She was probably in her thirties.

“Girlfriend?” I could only nod.

“She’s a lucky woman. A man who doesn’t mind shopping with her is a man well-found. If my husband were like you, I’m sure I’d be shopping here instead of working here.” I chuckled at that, and Ari called from inside her room –

“Do you have a smaller size, miss?”

The clerk peeked in and nodded, rushing off to get a smaller size. I heard her mutter to herself, “Definitely on her way to small, with her frame…” I frown. Most of her clothes at home had tags exclaiming her medium size. She came back and handed Ari her clothes, then walked off, leaving me with no one else to talk to – at least, until she came out.

“Matt?”

“Yes lovely?” I turn to her, and yet again, my jaw drops and my eyes widen.

Sleeveless white top.

Black and white polka-dotted skirt that nearly reached her knees, along with a ribbon and a small bag hanging off her arm.

Black heels.

And the perfect expression of innocence.

“Matt, babe, are you alright? You’re all red and you look like you need to lie down – babe? Matt, stop staring and – babe, babe your nose is BLEEDING!

Needless to say, she had to drive us home while I stayed in the back with a bloody nose, trying to get that endearing image out of my mind.

Three Projects

2013 has come, and with that comes the traditional, always said resolutions to be done. I promised to myself that I would finish at least three of my written works and most likely post them, depending on if someone would actually read them or not. That aside, here are the three projects I am prioritizing this 2013:

  1. Royal Flush: an Axis Powers Hetalia + Original Character FanFiction
  2. Hysteria: an Alternate Universe Axis Powers Hetalia + Original Character FanFiction
  3. Iva: an Alternate Universe Death Note + Original Character FanFiction
Now, of all the projects, why did it have to be these three?

Royal Flush is the project I am plotting to the very core. I can't let it go unfinished, as it would shame me and cause me a load of regret if I even quit. I have the ending planned and the plot twists...twisted, and all I need is the motivation to finish it.

Hysteria is an entirely-new project I've started to write. Instead of the usual male personifications of the nations, however, I've made it the genderbent versions (females) who take the stage. Not as much progress as Royal Flush in terms of planning, but it is something I really want to try out, that being Parallel Worlds and Alternate Selves.

Iva. Again, plotted to the core. I have the killer in mind and how A solves the murder case. What is needed is the drive  to finish. I need to make the ending great - and I actually might throw in a plot twist. A couple of graphics + intense research might help me.

This is it so far.

Happy New Year!

To anyone who sees this,
Happy New Year!

May I successfully finish the challenge with my feels intact.
And may I finish more than three projects this year.

Yes.
