Flipside: One and Seemingly the Same

How long does it take for you to heal?

Hello and good evening, dear readers! This will be a Behind the Scenes on my latest post entitled "One and Seemingly the Same", which focused heavily on The Shoujo Parallels series which you can very much read over here. Surprisingly enough, this is not a challenge-related post, but one that just spawned from my own imagination. If you've read it and are familiar with The Shoujo Parallels series, you may be wondering what on Earth? No worries, though, for I'll be explaining what pretty much happened and why I decided to write something like that.

The Read More button is there if you're interested.

Readers of The Shoujo Parallels: Celeste and The Shoujo Parallels: Oddette would most likely recognize Eri. In Celeste, Eri Kaminari would serve as the main antagonist while in Oddette, she was a character who didn't make an appearance but was still mentioned. Currently, The Shoujo Parallels: Eri is being written and for once, Eri Blitzschnell would be an ally for a change.

Obviously, if I addressed them all by 'Eri', it would be confusing. So, I settled for the last names and sometimes identifiers. Eri from Celeste would be called 'Kaminari' or 'The Angel', Eri from Oddette would be called 'Ergen' or 'War Freak', and Eri from Eri would be called 'Blitzschnell' or 'The Soldier'. Now. Let's clear some things up.

How were they able to get to that room?

This is based off a headcanon of mine that revolves around the short itself. My own perception is that whenever a prequel is finished (Celeste, Oddette) the Parallels all go somewhere. It was never explicitly stated in Celeste and Oddette whatever happened to the Parallels after Elaine and the Watcher would go back to Earth, so I figured, why not make something up? In this case, the two Eris would all go to this room. The white room.

If they were there, then I'm guessing the other Parallels would be in some other kind of room as well.

How was Blitzschnell able to get there, TSP: Eri is still ongoing?

This short occurs after the events of TSP: Eri. While the story is actually still ongoing, all events mentioned here (that have seemingly occurred in TSP: Eri) are merely fiction and not Shoujo canon.

What's with the two more chairs?

As mentioned, they were still waiting for two more Eris, the Eri from Mitarion and the Eri from Haran. This is pretty much a spoiler of what two prequels to expect after the completion of TSP: Eri.

Why are there only five of them? Aren't there supposed to be eight?

This is a good point, but I don't think I'm in a position to tell you such...all I can say is that it has something to do with the prequels themselves.

Why doesn't Blitzschnell know the existence of the other Parallel Worlds when Amaya Himmel does? And when the Watcher has already met Eri Blitzschnell?

I see you've read the latest chapter. Great, you get a cookie! Anyway, the answer to the first question is merely this: this is not canon. Either that, or because of how busy Eri B. has been. I mean, protecting Technika and patrolling around, dealing with the emotional stability of her human counterpart, so on and so forth.

But really, I couldn't make a logical explanation for this.

So what are they waiting for? Why do there need to be five Eris?

Another headcanon time! This goes back to the starting line of this BTS: how long does it take for you to heal? So after the events of the prequels, I like to think that all Parallels would reappear somewhere and wait for the Parallels of the other worlds to arrive. When that was over, the rest would be simple: they would unify. This unification then makes them whole, after what they've experienced. Healing from the Canon Parallel would greatly matter. After this, it would simply be transmitted to their Earth!Parallel (like, all five Amayas would unify and send healing to Elaine Rivers).

Think of it. After much stress and whatever went on in their worlds, all of it has to be over. So they wait until the last arrives and then they unify. Their pains, sorrows, what they've endured, etc, would unite and eventually develop into someone who has grown stronger due to these, and would give a sense of renewal.

I personally like the idea of Parallels protective over their Earth!Parallels.

After that, they would then split back into five, renewed and healed as well, and return back to the world which they existed in. Or in another possible case, they would simply live on as the Canon Parallel.

What did Kaminari mean when she said 'it would mean well'?

“I’m happy for you, soldier.” She mocked a salute. “Was expecting it, anyway.” A slight smirk came to her lips. “That would mean well for Ergen and I. I hope.” Headcanon: The Canon Parallel decides what happens to the other sub-parallels. In this case, if Eri Blitzschnell and Technika were better, then Eri Kaminari and Eri Ergen's futures could possibly brighten as well.

Why don't the parallels get along?

It's like each parallel represents a trait in your personality. Of course, traits can clash - hence the clashing of Kaminari and Ergen.

Wait, Ergen isn't Eri's last name in TSP: Oddette.

...hush, I know.

Well, that's it for this BTS. I'll be updating this if ever more questions come. Thanks for reading!
