Flipside: Until We Meet Again

Good evening, guys!

So I just posted a challenge entitled 'Until We Meet Again', which was given to me by Giselle. Her challenge was for me to write my OTP in another belt. Whether they visit they another belt or exist in another belt I couldn't understand, so I understood it as them existing as the same people but in another belt. Now, you may be thinking - what the ruddy hell are belts?

No, they're not what you wear to keep your pants from sagging.

The belts are a term used in the Shoujo Parallels series written by Giselle. Belts are like different realities, either drastically different or slightly modified but still different at the same time. I'll explain the 'known' belts as I understand them.

The Alpha Belt is our current world. Me, you, everything from Chace Crawford to Zooey Deschanel to Justin Timberlake to Mila Kunis. For short, this is our reality, the one we're living at this very moment.

The Beta Belt is another reality, slightly modified - and the Beta Belt is the belt where the Shoujo Parallels take place. Here, you have Elaine Rivers, Arzen Venura, etc.

The Delta Belt is the most peaceful reality. Like. Really peaceful.

And then, there's the Gamma Belt. One word can describe it - chaotic.

Now that you know what belts are, I can safely say that Until We Meet Again takes place in the Gamma Belt of the Death Note universe. Think twisted. Think Light Yagami succeeding and actually achieving his goal in becoming the so-called 'God of the New World'. Think of Near and Mello and Rester and Gevanni all dead. Failed in their attempt to put an end to Light.

That's chaotic in my eyes.

With Gamma explained, let's head on to the other parts and whatever.

In this version of Death Note, Mail Jeevas refused to join Mello in taking down Kira. Touta Matsuda decided to quit the Kira Investigation Team. That's why both characters are clearly alive in the short.

Matsuda was there?!

Oh, yes. Didn't see that coming, did you?

Of course, while living in a world where Kira ruled and you were a group of Anti-Kira people, you needed to keep an alias or an alternate name to ensure safety.
John Peters = Nathan Peters.
Paul Moore = Samuel Peters.
Daisuke Satou = Touta Matsuda.
Liam Jones = Mail Jeevas.Ira Meyer = Adrienne Maxwell.
Nathan Peters is Samuel Peters' dad.

And I changed A's first name out of fun.

Those five (plus Matsumoto) revived the SPK and did their best to capture and put an end to Kira.

But sadly, as mentioned, the group was slowly exterminated one by one.

The ending shows "Ira" and "Liam" holding hands and restrained to chairs, looking on as two visibly armed men entered the room where they were being held.

I left it ambiguous. Did they manage to survive, or did they end up like their group?

That's up to you to decide.

Thanks for reading guys, hope you all have a great night!
